commit / website2-archive: 4659b8a feat: add prose components, blog page, projects
tweet / re: @mrejfox: ouroboros epilogue: all of these thoughts should be a blog post but there is so much friction there and so little to throwing together a little thread with a few images https://t.co/ESojz49E4V; 1 fav
tweet / re: @mrejfox: I keep feeling like there is some piece of essential tooling that I am missing around the management of my "published" photos / screenshots across devices, and realizing the easiest and most reliable right now are Twitter and Instagram https://t.co/ibufQIsrb1
tweet / re: @mrejfox: Anyway this part is the hard part- so I end up having gobs of screenshots and photos and half-written blog posts in IA Writer and Day one and never publish any of it because there is so much friction to turn those things into a published post on my site, and I want it to be easy
tweet / re: @mrejfox: So on Mobile, I need to figure out some way of converting a Day One export into uploaded Cloudinary images (https://t.co/ApGngK0SpH by @etportis looks like a good lead) and then fixing the inline image URLs based on the uploaded images, then commit that to git somehow and PR https://t.co/uOy1kVaofZ
tweet / re: @mrejfox: Day One would be my preferred method of composing posts on mobile. Plus Day One offers some nice export options, but the markdown ones don’t include the image assets. https://t.co/86OYf2Rzzg
tweet / re: @mrejfox: Not only that, but how do I make sure that my Markdown document refers to the right Cloudinary URLs without me copying in every single one? I should be able to drag an image into my .md, press publish, and everything is uploaded and hotswapped for me, somehow
tweet / re: @mrejfox: On Desktop, I really like IA Writer, which has some basic image handling. If I drag an image into a .md document I am editing, IA Writer will copy the image next to it and include it as a local image reference, which is cool and good. But how to get those to Cloudinary? https://t.co/nECAlqzlKi
tweet / re: @mrejfox: My current process involves dragging images into my Cloudinary image library and then, one by one, copying the URLs back into my Markdown post. This works but feels extremely inelegant, and takes a lot of clicks. Doesn't really work well for mobile either. https://t.co/XjRYf18DK7
tweet / re: @mrejfox: I write my posts in Markdown, which is awesome because I can compose text and export MD from Day One, or IA Writer – things start to become really complicated when you want to introduce images, though... where do you put them?; 1 fav
tweet: I am trying to really think through my workflow and tools for publishing the work I am doing and thinking about, I feel like I do a lot of cool things and never share them. I feel pretty good about the first steps- I am pretty good about spinning off different artifacts... https://t.co/l03S8x2XC2; 5 fav
tweet / re: @mrejfox: cms where every change (code or content) is a pull request and discussion happens on GitHub comments on the PR
tweet: need a desktop app that lets a non-technical user download a repo, edit markdown files in it, upload images to a cloudinary media library, and "publish" changes by pushing to a github repo; 1 fav
